In search of TMNT

In my last post I was looking from the beach towards the ocean. Things have changed by 180 degrees now!

Told you I wanted to check out where these boats are going…

Wanna race?

There’s more of them behind us!!

True, they were behind us. But in fact they were chasing the dolphins. Apparently just off the coast of Panglao these aquatic cousins of ours have their morning meetings. Probably discussing where to go for a nice fish snack…

I have spotted the dolphins few times while on the boat. However, I didn’t manage to get even a single photo of them. They were swimming away pretty fast from the boats. And I am not surprised – these boats are extremely loud. I even suggest taking some ear plugs if you want to make a trip on one of them. No wonder the dolphins were leaving the area. Keep in mind that the sound travels much faster in water that in the air – the animals knew the boats were coming.

So have a look at some other marine mammals instead:

For your information: the two photos above were taken very far from the Philippines.

Ok, there are less and less boats pursuing the dolphins. They are all heading towards another island – a snorkelling and diving spot. Land spotted, this is where we get off. And this is also the place where we will be looking for TMNT. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 😀

Or maybe it should be this place to look for them:

Right, so we will look for regular turtles here in the Philippines. Be sure to check how it went.
